Grounding Acupressure Point for Holiday Season Stress: Kidney 1

This time of year is merry and bright, but can also be quite chaotic. We may be feeling a bit crazed as we travel to see family, shop for gifts, and attend holiday social events. This acupressure point will help you to ground when you are feeling scattered this season:

Acupressure Point: KIDNEY 1

📍Location: on the bottom of the foot, 1/3 of the way down, between the second and third toes and right below the ball of the foot. Feel around for a tender spot in this area.

✨Routine: massage this point with your thumb for one minute while taking deep breaths and envisioning the energy moving from your head down to your feet. Switch sides and repeat. You can do this routine whenever you are feeling overwhelmed or anxious.

✨This point treats: anxiety, dizziness, headache, blurry vision, rage, insomnia, low back pain, nausea/vomiting, and fainting.

I’ll be treating patients the week before and after Christmas, so reach out if you’d like a holiday tune-up between all of the festivities.
