Chinese Medicine Tips for Spring.

Spring-cleaning isn’t just for our houses! It’s time to clear out the old and make room for the new in our lives. In Chinese Medicine Theory, spring is associated with the liver and gallbladder. Thus, we will feel our best this time of year if we “spring clean” and strengthen these organs.

𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐬 𝐲𝗼𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐠𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐚 𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐞-𝐮𝐩: you tend to feel sluggish in the morning, are overly controlling, get allergies in the spring, feel aggravated by windy days, have skin and digestion issues, get headaches and are irritated easily.

𝐇𝗼𝐰 𝐭𝗼 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐠𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐞𝐫: don’t bury emotions, exercise, do yoga, meditate, identify your stressors, make amends, let go of perfection, begin your day early with a brisk walk, begin new projects and create, eat when you are relaxed, eat sour foods and leafy greens, address repressed anger.
