October's Full Hunter's Moon.

October 19, 2021 Rachel Appel

Full Hunter’s Moon Tomorrow:

This month’s full moon is happening tomorrow morning, Wednesday, October 20th, at 8:57am MST. This full moon is called the Hunter’s Moon, because it represents a time of year in which people used to go out to hunt for animals in preparation for the winter ahead. This moon may appear larger than most full moons and may even have an orange hue.

This Hunter’s Moon is predicted to bring fiery and ambitious energy that is good for starting new projects. This moon is asking us, “What are you waiting for?” It is a potent time to check in with ourselves, let go of what is no longer serving us, and create space for what we desire. We may also feel a bit more on edge or easily angered this week, so be gentle with yourself and keep an eye on your temper.

I personally like to celebrate the full moon by meditating, lighting some candles and incense, picking a tarot card, journaling everything I’d like to let go of, and then thinking of 2-3 things that I’d like to call into the next month. Sometimes I also like to watch the moon rise and go for a walk in the moonlight.

What are your favorite ways to honor the moon?
