Simple Breathing Exercise to Support the Heart.

This year has been a lot. And in some places we’ve gone from 0 to 100 with our socializing and getting back to “normal”. Keeping us from processing what we’ve all been through. This can lead to feeling triggered easily, more reactive, disassociated, and socially anxious. This breathwork can help us to take a pause in our day and process the feelings that are arising:

1. Sit in a comfortable position.

2. Relax your body and place your hands over your heart. Take a few deep breaths and feel your awareness shift to the present moment.

3. Inhale through your nose and visualize your heart filling up with red, healing energy. Red is the healing color for the heart.

4. Exhale through your mouth while making the sound “Haaa”. This is the healing sound for the heart.

5. Repeat 9 times. Once you finish the ninth round, relax your hands to your lap and take a few moments of silence, sitting in the essence of the heart sound.

We can practice this breathing exercise whenever we have a heavy heart, need an emotional clearing, or want to strengthen our heart meridian. It is also something we can practice daily in the summertime to stay balanced.
