Simple Breathing Exercise to Support the Liver.

April 6, 2021 Rachel Appel

This exercise only takes a few minutes and helps to release stress from the body and mind:

1. Sit in a comfortable position.

2. Relax your body and place your hands over your liver (located underneath your right ribcage). Take a few deep breaths and feel your awareness shift to the present moment.

3. Inhale and visualize green healing energy filling up your liver area. Green is the healing color for the liver.

4. On your exhale, make the sound “Shuuu”. This is the healing sound for the liver.

5. Repeat 9 times. Once you finish the ninth round, relax your hands to your lap and take a few moments of silence, sitting in the essence of the liver sound.

This exercise helps to release stress from the body and the mind. We can practice this exercise whenever we are feeling irritable, overwhelmed, or want to support our liver. This exercise is also something we can practice daily in the spring to stay balanced.
