5 Ways to Celebrate the Summer Solstice.

Tomorrow, June 21st, is the summer solstice, symbolizing the beginning of a new season. It is the longest day of the year and a nice time to pause and celebrate our connection to nature. 

Here are 5 ways we can celebrate: 

1. Watch the sunrise or sunset: make time to go outside and watch the sun come up or go down. Notice how the lighting changes the colors of your surroundings. Feel the sun’s warmth on your face and send it gratitude for the light that it brings.

2. Host a summer gathering: each guest can bring a dish with their favorite seasonal ingredients. Think fresh herbs, salads, fruits and vegetables, grilled foods, and refreshing drinks. 

3. Add summer decor to your home: buy yourself some fresh flowers or a new house plant, burn some sage to clear the space, buy a new candle with a seasonal scent, or consider tending to your garden. 

4. Spend time in nature: take advantage of the long daylight hours by spending time outdoors. Go for a hike, have a picnic, or organize a nature walk with friends. Connect with the natural world and appreciate the beauty of summer.

5. Reflect & set intentions for the new season: sit quietly in a peaceful setting and think about the opportunities that summer brings. Write down your thoughts and intentions for the season ahead.

Remember, the most important aspect of celebrating the summer solstice is to embrace the spirit of the season and enjoy the light and warmth that summer offers. Choose activities that resonate with you and make the day meaningful and joyful.
