Heart Healing Breathwork.

January 18, 2022 Rachel Appel

Heart Healing Breathing Exercise:

The last few weeks have been difficult. Most people I talk to are having a hard time. Whether it’s related to the state of the world, our own personal difficulties, or an overall feeling of burnout, I think we could all use a little heart breathing to help us come back to our center.

This exercise is simple and can be practiced anywhere, anytime:

  1. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths to settle into the present moment.

  2. Place both hands on your chest to direct your attention to your heart area.

  3. Inhale through your nose for a count of 5 and then exhale through your nose for a count of 5. As you inhale and exhale, imagine you are doing so through your heart.

  4. Repeat this cycle for a few minutes or until you feel re-centered.

We can practice this breathing exercise when we feel overwhelmed, face high-stress situations, or need some heart healing.
