My Takeaway from Thom Knoles' Sedona Rounding Retreat.

June 5, 2024 Rachel Appel

I’m still buzzing with bliss from Thom Knoles’ rounding retreat in Sedona. It was a beautiful weekend of deep rest, profound knowledge, close community, and delicious food.

One of my biggest takeaways from the retreat was when Thom encouraged us to let go of the need to know why things are happening. Typically we want to know why things are happening so that we can control them. When we embrace the idea that our individuality isn’t running the show, and that something bigger is at play, we can be awake to what is coming, and accept that it is what is needed. We can’t enhance our quality of life through control, it’s best to get on board with the program that is already occurring, stop swimming upstream, and relax and swim with the current. Evolution is all that is ever happening, to what extent are we resisting it?

How does this idea sit with you? Let me know in the comments.
