This exercise helps to increase circulation in the digestive organs and is especially healing this time of year because late summer is associated with the spleen and the digestion.

1. Sit in a comfortable position.

2. Relax and place your hands over your spleen area (located underneath your left ribcage). Take a few deep breaths. **The spleen controls digestion in Chinese medicine.

3. Inhale and visualize yellow light filling up your spleen. Yellow is the healing color for the spleen and the digestion.

4. On your exhale, make the sound “Huuu” (sounds like “who”). This is the healing sound for the spleen.
With every exhale, think of something you’d like to let go of. Particularly any worries that you may be feeling.

5. Repeat 9 times. Practice this exercise whenever you are feeling worried, having tummy troubles, need an emotional clearing, or want to strengthen your digestion.
