This week’s acupressure point is called LI 4 (large intestine 4). It is commonly used for stress, headaches, sinus pressure, jaw pain, toothaches and neck pain. LI4 is located on the highest spot of the muscle when the thumb and pointer finger are brought close together. Another way to find this point is to search for the sore spot in the webbing between your thumb and pointer finger. Use firm pressure to massage and stimulate this point for 30 seconds to a minute. Take deep breaths while you press on this point. Switch sides and repeat.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
LI 4 treats:
۞ Conditions of the head and face: headache, dizziness, congestion, toothache, jaw pain, etc.
۞ Overwhelm and stress.
۞ Common cold symptoms.
۞ Pain anywhere in the body.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Caution: do not use this point if you are pregnant. This point is descending and can be used to induce labor.
