Emotions are running at an all time high right now. Try this breathing exercise to tune into your body and clear out what is no longer serving you.

1. Sit in a comfortable position.
2. Relax and breathe deeply as you visualize your heart. Tune into your emotions. Are you feeling joy, sadness, grief? Do you have a heavy heart?
3. Breathe in fresh, clean, red Qi (vital energy) through your nose. Red is the color associated with the heart meridian.
4. Exhale toxins and anything that doesn’t serve you through your mouth, as you quietly chant the word “Kherr” (the healing sound for the heart).
5. Repeat 9 times. Practice this exercise whenever you have a heavy heart, need an emotional clearing, or want to strengthen your heart meridian.

This exercise helps to increase circulation in the body and is especially healing this time of year because summer is associated with the heart.
